The main-street location of the historic McKune House is now truly the ‘heart’ of the community with the new addition and renovation of the existing library. The McKune House was totally refurbished, with the second story removed to create one grand community meeting space.

The new addition sits at the back of the McKune House and creates the new entry. A lobby with an intricately-designed granite floor, a bright youth and media centers are at the entrance on the main floor. The second floor provides a periodical reading area with a two-story fire-place and leather lounge seating. Adjacent are the adult collections, the computer training room, the teen area and the quiet study rooms.

The McKune Memorial Library is awarded ‘The Best Small Library in America–2007’ by the Library Journal publication.
